This interesting article highlights some research conducted by American company Pew Research Center. The research shows that overall more Americans prefer to watch news rather than read or listen to it, but this varies in each age group – and perhaps not in the way that you would think. Millennials in the 18- to 29-year-old age group prefer to read their news (mostly from online sources, 81 per cent), whereas roughly half (52 per cent) of 50- to 64-year-olds and 58 per cent of those aged 65 and older prefer to watch the news.
